The healthy social life is only when, in the mirror of the
human soul, the whole community forms itself, and in the community lives the strength of the individual soul.
- Rudolf Steiner
We moved our family from the city to a small
farm in north central Massachusetts. We had been searching for just the right place for many years. In our hearts and minds,
we had lovingly dubbed our farm-to-come Michaelmas Farm.
We found where we wanted to land in July 2006.
As fate would have it, our closing date was September 29th - the feast of St. Michael, or Michaelmas. We are still
savoring the synchronicity!
It is here where we live with our family, and also here where we are in the
process of creating a center for cultural renewal integrating agriculture with education, the arts, and community life.
Our farm consists of two barns, an educational center (with over 850 sf of workshop and classroom space), a greenhouse,
gardens, and animals. It will serve as home base for various initiatives, including the Waldorf
Family Network project, a library & resource center, and Mill Village Press.
Our intention is to officially open our center in September 2008. More details are forthcoming!
Join our email list for news and announcements regarding programs, services, and a special announcement to launch our farm web site.
Looking for those pictures of our farm that were posted here? We're in the process of
moving them over to our farm web site. We'll let you know when we're done!
